IQUBX Solution

Three priorities shaped the specification

Customized Size & Multi-Shutter Configuration

The client required ceiling trapdoors in customized sizes to suit the ceiling layout and site conditions. A multi-shutter configuration was incorporated to provide the required access while maintaining a clean and coordinated ceiling appearance.

Sleek Look with Uniform Minimum Groove

A key requirement was a sleek and aesthetically clean appearance. The trapdoor border needed to remain even and uniform, without an irregular or uneven edge. A consistent 2–3 mm minimum groove was maintained around the trapdoor to create a clean visual line and allow it to blend seamlessly with the ceiling.

Smooth Operation & Protection of the Ceiling

The trapdoor needed to open and close smoothly without operational issues. The system was also designed to avoid stress or movement that could affect the surrounding ceiling, helping prevent cracks, damage, or other finishing issues during operation. The requirement for smooth operation and avoiding damage to the surrounding ceiling is also reflected in the original project brief.
